Cruising to the Mexican Riviera

Benefiting

Our cruise sets sail on October 30, 2010 from San Diego, California
Along with days at sea for enjoying new friends, our Celebrate Survivorship Conference and other activities, we will visit these ports of the Mexican Riviera.

Our first port of call is Mazatlan - The only decision you have to make in Mazatlan is how to fit in all that you want to do. From fishing, sailing, surfing, parasailing and kayaking to shopping, fine dining and dancing, Mazatlan has something for everyone. There are many cultural venues like the Archeological Museum replete with relics and information about Mazatlan's pre-Hispanic roots.
We will also visit Puerto Vallarta, chosen by John Huston as the setting for The Night of the Iguana (and the off-screen romance of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton). With so much to offer, you might find yourself strolling back in time as you wander down the streets of the historic area of town or maybe follow your own steps to the rhythms of the Mariachi. Your eyes can feast on the beautiful textiles, original works of art from local artists and all over the globe, or the intricate beadwork of the Huichl Indians. Your mouth will water with anticipation for the authentic Mexican cuisine served up by chefs from around the world in the renowned international restaurants available for your dining.
Cabo San Lucas is a port known as a high end vacation and spa destination. It is a culturally diverse Mexican oasis. There are a great variety of sites of interest. The distinctive El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, the rock formation at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas, is a local landmark. Cabo San Lucas is the host to the largest Marlin Tournament in the world. There are many water sports available and also many shopping opportunities from shopping plazas to upscale boutiques.
