Cruising the Southern Caribbean

Benefiting

Frequently asked question:

Do I have to be a survivor or be related to someone with cancer to enjoy this cruise?

We invite anyone who wants to enjoy a cruise and take advantage of our special rates to join us.  Since a donation is made to the NMCCF for every cruise booked, you are helping someone who is directly affected by cancer.

You are encouraged to join in on the extra fun events and values added to this group cruise.

We welcome you!

Our cruise sets sail on November 13, 2011 from Ft. Lauderdale for 7 fun days and then will return to Ft. Lauderdale on November 20, 2011

We also have special hotel accommodations option available for those who come in one day early.  A special "meet & greet" gathering will be held at the hotel too!  Ask us.

Along with days at sea for enjoying new friends, our Celebrate Survivorship sessions and other activities, we will visit these ports;

Our first port of call is Half Moon Cay, Bahamas ~

Seventeen miles from the nearest neighbor, about 100 miles south of Nassau, in the Bahamas, Half Moon Cay is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the cruise lines’ private islands. Nine miles of beach stretch along the vibrant blue waters in a crescent shape. Coconut palms dot the landscape. This is truly a nature preserve as Holland America takes great strides to maintain the ecosystem of this pristine island. In fact, only 45 acres of the 2,500 acre island have been developed. All parts of the island are accessible by a tram and hard-surfaced walkways connect each area.

We will also visit Oranjestad, Aruba ~

Located on Aruba's picturesque southern coast, Oranjestad is the historical Dutch capital city where the tall multicolored houses of Wilheminastraat combine carved wooded doors and traditional Dutch tiles with airy open galleries and sloping, Aruban-style roofs. Along the wharf, merchants come to sell fresh fish and produce right off the boats every morning.  All of Aruba's government buildings and main offices are located in the capital city. Oranjestad is also the place to shop or to browse in the marketplace for Aruban art and local handicrafts.  Any time of year, Oranjestad is the bustling meeting place of tourists and locals alike.

Willemstad, Curacoa is our last port ~

Experience the beautiful jewel that is Willemstad, Curacao. This lively port is one of six UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Caribbean, joining the ranks of Old Havana, Old San Juan, and Colonial Santo Domingo.

The Punda District – once fortified and walled – along with its neighboring districts of Otrobanda, Pietermaai, Scharloo, preserve some 765 buildings as national monuments. Chief among these are Fort Amsterdam, the Governor’s Palace, Mikve Israel-Emanuel Synagogue and the colorful Penha building on the waterfront.

After decades of preservation efforts, Willemstad is proud to be counted among the best of the best.
